The Upper Galilee mountain range is much more than an abode for Galil Mountain Winery; it’s the Winery’s heart and soul. Sitting in a breathtaking spot atop the Upper Galilee mountain range, the innovatively designed winery is committed to revitalizing the region’s rich history of winemaking. Over 2,000 years ago, the mountain range – one of Israel’s highest at more than 1,000 meters above sea level – was a choice location for the cultivation of quality grapevines. Today, the area’s topography, soil and climate make it an ideal home for the vibrant Galil Mountain Winery.

Established as a joint venture headed by the world-renowned Golan Heights Winery in 2000, Galil Mountain Winery preserves the delicate balance between tradition and technology. Leveraging six area vineyards, a state-of-the-art production plant and proven expertise, Galil Mountain Winery offers an inspired selection of award-winning wines that remains true to its roots.

HAGOSHRIM KAYAKS

Come and enjoy the most challenging rafting in the Galilee – fun for all the family – floating down the river, past banks of natural greenery, feeling the cool refreshing waters, glimpsing the myriad birds and wild animals that make it their home.

Speedy Slide into the Hatzbani River:
The routes begin with a unique kayak Rafting slipway adding a special something to the cool-water experience!
Family Route:
For all the family (from age 5 upwards).
Length of route: approx. 5 km.
Length of time: between 1-1 ½ hours.

Challenge Route:
Without accompanying instructor.
Length of route: approx. 6 km.
Length of time: between 1 ¼ and 2 hours.
at the end of the route you’ll find an appetizing snack-bar, and changing-rooms for your convenience

Camping out – facilities:
Organized car-park, toilets, hot showers, lighting, snack-bar, tables, lawn, shade and children’s
paddling pool.

When we first saw the ancient building on Mount Canaan where we built Villa Galilee, we immediately felt that we belonged. The construction of this hotel in the north of Israel led us to create a magical hotel, truly one of a kind, the fruit of our imagination and the realization of our dreams.
